Final convention report of the year! I am now fully prepared to hibernate myself until Katsucon. Anywho! My last convention of the year was a great one ^^ I went over to ~AkabaraYashiki/Lunatique Cosplay’s place to visit in general, Tigercon happened to be that weekend xD

On Friday we watched a show her Theatre Art department put on called, “What Once We Felt.” It was fantastic. The outfits were outstanding (I had to point out the red striped fabric inside the ruffle of a dress which I thought was just beautiful) and the acting was phenomenal. The script was so dramatic and intense. It’s a story set in a world without men. To have babies, women would download a pill from the internet.

Then you have the Keepers and Tradepacks, Keepers would be the normal population of people so to speak, and Tradepacks were the abominations. They got sick very easily and would die early in life. The play is told in a series of stories and there were a few parts that were incredibly confusing/vague. Not in a bad way, in that ‘I-need-to-watch-it-again-to-get-it’ type of way. Too bad I won’t be able to watch it a second time xD But it was sooo good. If anyone has the chance to watch this play, I’d strongly recommend it.

Now onto the con report! We left for Tigercon at 11 am. I wore my Umi Ryuuzaki and ~AkabaraYashiki wore her Sakura from Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicles and her friend cosplayed at Fai D. Flourite from Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicles. ~AkabaraYashiki carried around a black Mokona and I carried around Kyuubey from Madoka Magica. We didn’t have a white Mokona, so we decided to bring him around to see how many people would realize it’s not from the same series xd We both signed up for the Costume Contest for fun. Later I met up with *TheBigTog to do a photoshoot since I was unable to for her for AnimeUSA. It was.. 50 degrees outside and we shot for a good hour. It was good to do a proper shoot for her, but near the end of the shoot, I literally couldn’t move my fingers because they were so cold. T-T But the photos will be well worth it, so it’s okay xD

We went back and I found ~AkabaraYashiki and her friends in the panel where they were teaching Para Para. They picked the PONPONPON song by Kyary Pamyu Pamyu xD I didn’t join at first because I was still freezing, but then ~AkabaraYashiki dragged me off the chair and I ended up dancing as well haha. Later on, I FINALLY met ~sleepycreator xD We did a very quick shoot and then I hung out with ~AkabaraYashiki and friends. By 6, we went early to the main events room for the “fashion show.” I saw ~BalthierFlare‘s dad and said hi xDD Before that was Reni’s Maid Show. It was actually my first time watching Reni. The performance was good. Then we did the fashion show. I won “Best in Show!” I know the con was uber small, but it still meant a lot to me that the judges liked my costume. Some of their comments were they liked the use of trim, the flow of the outfit, and that I used satin xD I wanted to cry lol.

*TheBigTog met up with us afterwards to congratulate me and then we left.  She lent me her coat because I was FREEZING. When we returned to the house I put on ~AkabaraYashiki‘s Valshe wig and we went to the diner to eat in costume xD Seeing myself as a very impromptu Fai makes me want to cosplay him..

That’s it for this con report! I’ll have a few more wig reviews to post and then my end of the year cosplay report~

On the weekend of November 18th, Euphie and I went to AnimeUSA!

Thursday
I took the bus to Euphie’s house. We left her house around 4:30 and drove to the convention center. We weren’t able to get our badges yet so we got into our hotel and wandered around for a bit. We didn’t cosplay that day since we figured we’d get there pretty late. (It’s a 3 hour car ride.) So after moving all our stuff and getting settled in, we went to sleep.

Friday
We woke up early, and I got into Umi. This was the first time wearing her and I was pretty happy with the way she came out. She was a last minute cosplay and I had the blue fabric for her left over from another Umi costume.. So I figured, why not? I didn’t have a 3rd costume anyways. We got our badges and wandered in the Dealer’s room. I saw my friend Carrie at her Athena’s Wink booth and I said hi. Then we went to judge at 2:30. It was a super easy judging compared to Otakon. There were barely any people because we didn’t have our own room, instead we were in a panel room. A lot of people came in mistaking our room for the ‘Mythology to Pokemon’ panel.

Afterwards we wandered around for a bit and I changed into my Tifa wig. We were attending the ball, I lent Euphie my red dress and I had the same one in black. We went as modern Wallmarket Aerith and Tifa ^^. We only stayed there for 20 minutes before we left. Then Euphie got changed into Aerith and I got changed into Magnet Miku, with the wig and headphones lent from Lunatique, as she as my Magnet Luka ^^

We hung around at the Host Club for a bit. Then I helped Euphie out of her wig and hung out with a few other friends before heading in for the night.

Saturday
I changed into Umi again because I was supposed to have an early shoot with TheBigTog. For some reason I was extremely drained and could barely even get out of bed. After I dressed, I went straight to judging. At one point during judging there was no one there, Daniela and I went to get food. I was standing in front of the door and at one point felt someone standing behind me. I turned around and saw a super tall, super accurate Professor Snape. Admittedly, I was EXTREMELY intimidated. I embarrassingly laughed a “I’m sorry,” before moving out of the way. He was extremely in character which I enjoyed, but he was pretty nice xD

After judging, I went back to my room to change into Tifa, then I wandered for a bit. Then I went back stage to the masquerade. Euphie did her song and she was sooo good <33 Then we handed out awards. Afterwards we hung around with some people and such. We even did 360 degree rotation photos. ^^

Sunday
Sunday was a pretty short day. I woke up, put on Kurama and put all my stuff back in Euphie’s car. We met up with Yusuke, Koenma, and Yukina and the proceeded to our photoshoot with TheBigTog. We ended up shooting for 2 hours OTL. Afterwards we left and went home. Then I went home haha.

Some shout outs to new people I saw: ChibiTifa Cosplay, Vintage Aerith Cosplay, Fire Lily Cosplay, Eminence Rain, Jenni, Burloire, and everyone else I saw ❤

cosplay, final fantasy, garnet til alexandros 17th, hall costume contest, judging, otakon, report, rikku, yuna

I realized I never wrote an Otakon report! Not that I don’t want to, more so that I’ve really just been procrastinating it. But I do want to take my blogging more seriously and update more, so I’ll try my best.

Before I begin, I’ll talk about what even allowed me to go to Otakon. Going to Otakon has been a dream since I started cosplaying. Afterall, it is one of the biggest cosplay events on the East Coast. But Otakon is in Maryland, while that isn’t TOO far from where I live, you know how Asian parents are. Or maybe you don’t. But I knew my dad wouldn’t be too keen on the idea of me going to another state for a convention. (He isn’t too keen about me cosplaying in general.)

But the biggest factor financial-wise for me, in terms of going to a convention, is how much transportation, hotel, and partially badge will cost me. The badge is only a partial concern because the prices aren’t TOO outrageous, compared to how much transportation or hotel COULD cost. Although, if transportation isn’t an issue, then hotel and badge become more of an issue.

Anyhow. what made Otakon possible? I was a judge in the Hall Costume Contest, which meant, well besides that I was judging(?!?!!), free badge. Yayy that was one thing taken care of. The hotel, my friend’s friend was letting us stay in the hotel for free, another thing taken care of. Transportation.. Probably cost me the most. I carpooled with my friend Euphoria and we split the costs. Splitting it between the two of us wasn’t too bad, but still. Money is money. Now onto the con report!

Thursday
Euphoria and I left her house in the afternoon and we drove to Baltimore. The drive wasn’t too bad. By the time we arrived to Baltimore, it was around 5 o’clock so there was rush hour. Unbeknownst to us, driving in Baltimore was like driving in the city. Not only is it crazy, but there were a ton of one way streets. It wasn’t too bad, but it threw me off guard. Not to mention I’ve never driven in the city because of that very reason. (My parents are afraid I’ll get into an accident or something.) Luckily no such thing happened! But we were driving around for an hour before finding our hotel. We were able to check in our things and head to the convention center to get our badges, and judge’s meeting. After our meeting, we met up with Joseph Chi and did a photoshoot. I was wearing Euphie’s Princess Garnet from Final Fantasy IX, and she was wearing my Yuna from Final Fantasy X. After we finished, it was 11 pm, so we headed back and went to sleep.

Friday
Friday we were still wearing each other’s costume. Judging was fantastic. It is definitely a rewarding experience. I’ve only been cosplaying for little over a year, so seeing elaborate costumes puts me in awe. I met BalthierFlare 8D After judging, we went to the dealer’s room and wandered around. We met Ejen from CosplayInAmerica, and Yaya Han. I was so nervous to approach her at first haha. She really is a sweetheart. I hope to see her again in the future. Anyways, enough fangirling. We didn’t stay out too long and went back to the room afterwards.

Saturday
Saturday, Euphie was wearing her Princess Garnet and I was wearing my Yuna. Still had an excellent time judging. Except that we were an hour behind in our schedule, which really threw us off. Normally we had a break on the top of every hour, but today we didn’t get that chance. It was unfortunate because normally each person gets 5 minutes to talk about their costume and get it judge. And we had to rush a bit and cut it down to 3 minutes, or at least try to, because being an hour behind would cut into the rehearsal for the cosplay “fashion show” at the Masquerade. So if you felt that you were rushed, we’re sorry! But it was good seeing some familiar faces from my friends who entered the hall cos contest. Afterwards, I met up with my friend, Touelle, and we hung out for a bit. Then Euphie and I had to rush backstage to the Masquerade because we had to present our Judge’s Award. Got scolded at a bit for being super late xD But we presented our awards and helped hand out the other awards. Afterwards I hung out with Touelle a bit again before she had to leave, met up with Euphie, and then went back to our room.

Sunday
So I didn’t sleep all night on Sunday. Because, I was sewing a cape for my friend. I just had to lengthen it, so it wasn’t that hard, just took time xD I was hanging out with a friend while I was working so it wasn’t too bad. Then I wore Euphie’s Rikku from Final Fantasy X-2 costume. We had the Q&A for Judging, which was basically for the people who entered the contest, if they wanted to hear critique

s of what they did and such. Afterwards, we just roamed the Artist Alley and the Dealer’s room, saw some more friends and talked for a bit, then ate some food with

TheBigTog. I was so tired, I kept dozing off waiting for the food to arrive xD Then afterwards, we went home. We got to Euphie’s hourse around midnight and I slept over.

Overall I had a wonderful experience! When people complain about the Otakon weather, they are not kidding. It was 90 something degrees and it didn’t help that most of the costumes I wore were pretty warm.

Saturday

I went to Sakura Matsuri this weekend! I went Saturday after my drawing class. I wore a 90% completed Rei Ayanami in her school uniform. The only things that weren’t finished were the buttons and collar.

The highlight was that we went to “Tasty Hand Pulled Noodles” in Chinatown. It was featured on ‘The Best Thing I Ever Ate’ on Food Network. That and I was really craving fresh noodles. The place was cheap (price-wise) and delicious! I will definitely have to go back there again in the future.

Sunday

Sunday was tons more fun. I decided to wear Kurama from Yu Yu Hakusho before the fashion show because after having a conversation about it with Keith, we decided on him since I partially wanted to test shoot my new contact lens. Tifa with blue or green eyes doesn’t make sense, nor does Rei with blue or green eyes (and I would’ve wanted to fix the skirt..)

To quickly cap my day: I didn’t sleep all night because I was finishing up Yuna. The El Dorado staff came out pretty good but pretty rickety. Went to the festival with Kevin and Keith. Wore Kurama. Shot with Keith for the lenses test. Forgot craft foam/poster board for Yuna’s obi. My friend, Kadishu, ended up buying some for me♥. Met up with Philip. Hung out with them.

Shot for a bit. Shot FOR Keith for a bit. Made a “We love Mario Bueno” sign for Mario Bueno. “Embarrassed” the poor kid. Embarrassed myself by attracting much attention to myself with said sign. Went to get ready for the fashion show at 2:30. Changed into Yuna. Waited backstage at 3:45 to go up. Hung out with all teh models until the show.

Modeling in the Cosplay Fashion show. Got bombarded by people photographing me as Yuna and Mario Bueno as Tidus. Got kicked out xD Shot a bit more, went home.

All in all, this is going to sound a bit cheesy, but I feel really blessed. I’m glad that I could’ve met so many great friends through cosplaying. Being at the fashion show today and meeting so many talented people is truly inspiring. Everyone was so sweet and nice!

Being around other cosplayers who share the same passion as you and are about the same level is just.. amazing. It makes me want to push myself harder and challenge myself to become better. I saw a lot of friends and made some new ones!

I attended Chibicon last night at Montclair State University. My friend, Keith, came with me! You may recognize him as “TheBigTog” in some of my photographs.

It wasn’t too bad for a super small convention. But I have to admit, I may have been bored if I didn’t have friends there haha. I had a table in the Artist Alley, so I was there for most of the convention. I was there for almost 3 hours. It was actually really boring, but my friend, Keith, was there to keep me company along with Kevin, who also had a table there. A few of my friends went as well, so they came to say hi haha.

I also made some sales! So it wasn’t a total loss for me to sit there for 2 hours and 45 minutes xD

I wore my Final Fantasy X Yuna outfit! She still has some things to finish. Actually.. a lot things! My poor poor Yuna was still incomplete when I wore her to Chibicon >< There are still a few things I need to revamp for her.. She needs to be perfect! The staff came out not bad in photographs! I wasn’t too keen on the way it came out in general haha. I feel that it could have been improved. Ah well.

Keith and I were originally planning a photoshoot with Yuna, since the one at Castle Point didn’t happen, but it rained soo much! We kept checking every so often during the artist alley (since we were seated near a window) but it wouldn’t stop :/ It was hardly cloudy on Friday and was supposed to be sunny on Sunday. So after the artist alley we wandered around looking for a place to shoot Yuna. In the end, we found this nice staircase and managed to squeeze in a few photos!

I was able to obtain photos fairly quickly because I needed to submit them for the Sakura Matsuri Cosplay Fashion Show application. And now.. for some photos! Yay to Keith for making me look flawless haha. 😀

All images are copyrighted to TheBigTog. So, credit the photographer and don’t steal them! You can check out the other images of Yuna on my deviantart, here!

hatsune miku, magnet, springfest 2011

Super late post. It is finally spring! Even though it doesn’t look like it outside.. But here is my SpringFest report!

I went to SpringFest 2011 in Polytechnic NYU on March 12th. I wore my Hatsune Miku costume because I couldn’t finish Yuna on time and she’s my favorite character in Final Fantasy so where was a bare minimum of what I would have to complete to debut her, and I couldn’t reach it. So I wore Miku instead!

I had my drawing class so I didn’t get to go to SpringFest until afterwards. I met up with my friends, ~kadishu and ~Richumaru. I went to the Cosplay Contest/Meet up and met up with ~Kitsune-Intoxicated who was hosting it. Andrew from Conpics, and my friends, *knight28, ~GI10, *TheBigTog were there. There were a lot of people! Andrew and a few other people said I should join the contest, and I had nothing better to do so I did.

I ended up winning first place in Craftsmanship. The contest was a casual event and scheduled very last minute so there were no prizes, which wasn’t much of an issue to me. But.. Miku is SO popular. Haha the crowd went wild, even though I was in her ‘Magnet’ form.

Afterwards I was interviewed by ~OutOfTimeProductions. Since I got there late, SpringFest was pretty much over after that. So that concluded my day. My friends and I went out to dinner afterwards.

All in all I had a good time. I’ll definitely attend again next year if I am able to. Hopefully I’ll get to venture around the rest of the convention next time!

October 9th, I went to NYAF/NYCC! I really only planned on going for Saturday only because i’m going to school in Philly, so it would’ve been inconvenient going on Friday. Sunday was my catch up day for homework, and I have early classes so I didn’t want to end up being out too late. So my original plan was to go on Saturday, wake up at 8:15, leave to take the bus to the Greyhound station at 9:30, take the 11 o’clock Greyhound, be there at 1. Then go back to Philly on the 8 o’clock Greyhound to arrive back at 10:20, then get back to school by/before 11. Sounds good right? Here’s what ended up happening.

So I called my friend as a last resort, and she said she’d drive us to the Greyhound station. So we went back to my friend’s dorm in an effort to print out these tickets. I ended up taking the old black ink cartridge he had replaced and shook it and said, “If it prints out, then it’s meant to be.” And it worked!

My friend drove us to the Greyhound station and we ended up going on the 11:30 bus because the 11:00 one was full. By the time we got to the Javits Center it was about 2:20. There were so many people! It felt great going to a convention and cosplaying again. I met one of my photographer friends, Powdy, with his group fromPhotography X. Met a Cloud and Aerith, had epic pictures taken with the two. Met up with TheBigTog, chatted for a bit, then I went to the Final Fantasy photoshoot which was supposed to happen.

I met up with the Cloud, and there were literally no one there! I met Haruhi and Ranmaru of theNYCCosplayers group who cosplayed as Tifa (AC version) and Vincent respectively. Then we met a Barret, then another Tifa (Original version), her friend a Squall, a Lightning, Fang, a Sazh who stayed for a little bit, a Rinoa for Squall xD, a Chocobo, Moogle.

Sooo many people wanted to take our pictures hahaa. I felt bad for the ones who had to hold weapons xD Afterwards I met up with another of my photographer friends, Baldwin and later Youkuro. We were all really bored, so Baldwin and I had a mini photoshoot. No convention experience is complete without me doing a photoshoot xD So it seems. After that we went to the Dealer’s room, I tried on a corset. If it weren’t 200$ I would’ve bought one. It helped my posture xDD

That was pretty much my NYAF/NYCC adventure! Did you go to NYAF/NYCC? Tell me your stories! ^^

On August 14th, I went to the 2010 Northern New Jersey Cosplay Picnic in Chatham, New Jersey. The picnic was held at Passaic River County Park. It was held by the lovely Tanya Wheelock and her sister Autumn Wheelock. Where do I begin to describe this experience..

This was the first cosplay picnic I have ever attended. Overall, it was a lot of fun! It was only a small group of people, so it wasn’t too bad. Getting there was probably the worst. There is no address for the place. The main road you take winds around. It took us at least.. half an hour of getting lost?

But all in all I had a blast! I invited my photographer friend I met at AnimeNEXT, TheBigTog. If you remember, he shot my [first] Tifa Lockhart photoshoot. ^^ Anyways, I did two photoshoots. The first, my friend (the Hiei from AnimeNEXT) wanted to do a “shipping” photoshoot for Hiei and Kurama. So I went to the picnic dressed as Kurama.

Then after the photoshoot was done, I debuted Miku Hatsune from Vocaloid, with her outfit from “Magnet,” while my friend cosplayed as Luka Megurine. We debuted the headphones and waistband that I made ^^ I will be making a tutorial for the headphones soon!

After I did my Miku x Luka photoshoot, I just hung around with everyone and we went our separate ways. I made a bunch of new friends ^^ I had fun haha. Will definitely go next year if there is another one. I’m going to upload some photos from the two photoshoots in a different post. I had Miku shot a few times by several different photographers, but I think I’m only going to upload the ones TheBigTog photographed on Blogspot. For the others, check out my deviantArt!

Ah should’ve updated this last week xD I’m just going to copy and paste what I wrote from my dA on here.

Note: All the links lead to dA accounts xD

Friday

  • I wore my Kurama cosplay this day! I was up all night working on finishing my cosplays, and due to my poor time management, I didn’t really get to work on the wig as much as I would have liked. I wanted to cut the bangs more, so I’m probably gonna end up doing that some time next month (since I still have summer classes..) and upload pictures! Or if I can find a photographer that’d be even better.. kekeke xDSo I ended up getting 2 hours of sleep. Woke up.. Didn’t start packing until like 9 AM.. >___> Went to the convention, got there around 1ish. My parents drove me and when we started getting near the Garden State Expo Center… Oh my gosh. I saw so many cosplayers walking around outside.. I got soo excited.

There’s not much to say about in the convention.. Haha yeah okay! xD A bunch of people asked for my picture. Met a few fan girls.. LOL Met a Yoko Kurama and a Hiei! My friend was supposed to cosplay as Hiei, but he said he didn’t get his costume in time. But I didn’t really mind, I was happy that I got to cosplay as Kurama xD Saw all my friends from college :] And my roomiee :iconfireburningbrightly: Uhmm.. yeah. Bought cat ears.. kekeke. xD And an AnimeNEXT t-shirt!Can’t remember what I did at night.. I went somewhere.. Oh! My friend wanted to go to the ‘How to Draw Yuri’ Panel xD I ended up leaving because I had to go get a needle to fix mah cosplays with.. >< Well.. just the ears for Pichu! There’s a bunch of inbetween stories but.. I don’t wanna make this epic entry more epic xD But to finish, I freaked out because I couldn’t get the Pichu ears on the headband without flopping! So I went to sleep.

Saturday

  • Woke up at 7, to do a photoshoot with :iconknightmare6:! Well the shoot was at 9AM xD Finally got my ears to semi-work, by pinning them to my head xD At one point they were perfect, then they slowly started drooping towards the end of the shoot. We shot with the Pikachu family! My two friends as Raichu and Pikachu, me as Pichu, :iconfireburningbrightly: as Minun, and :iconrockerneko: as Plusle!Did the photoshoot, then roamed. Roaming.. roaming.. My mom brought me mah Tifa outfit! :D Thennnn.. yeah.

Sunday

  • I’m so tired I don’t feel like typing anymore xD So I woke up at 7AM again and got ready. Did a photoshoot with :iconthebigtog: and :iconkoreanholic: as Yuffie! Had a ton of fun ^^ Then I was supposed to go to another FF photoshoot at 12:30 and I waited.. and :iconkoreanholic: and we waited a good 30-40 minutes. And then as I was leaving I met :iconlingering-tears: as Princess Garnet from FFIX :iconsylphinesbane: as ViVi from FFIX and Cloud from Advent Children, and a few others who’s dA I don’t know >< They wanted to do a shoot as well! So we ended up congregating outside xD So we had a Tifa, Vivi, Princess Garnet, Cloud, Yuffie, Yuna, Reno. I think that’s it? The most random assortment of FF people xD There ended up being a Lebreau later (from FFXIII). And another Yuffie, and some others xD

I saw :iconknightmare6: again! And he was half an hour early for a shoot, and we were talking. I told him about how there was supposed to be a FF shoot but no one showed up >< So he offered to take some pictures for us! So we had an epic Final Fantasy shoot with random crossovers xD It was a lot of fun! I hope everyone enjoyed it ^^

So yeah, that pretty much summed up my day. Went to the dealer’s room, bought a sword.. kekeke.. xD That I ended up giving to my dad for Father’s Day. OH MY GOSH. The last epic thing. I went to the artist alley because I saw this Lightning poster that I was absolutely in love with since the first day of the con. Before that I went to a stand next to my friend’s :iconraydiant: because our friend wanted to talk to him about something.

So I was just looking at his friend’s posters :iconprodigybombay: I was just looking through her portfolio. Her artwork was really beautiful and it definitely caught my eye, but in my mind I really wanted that Lightning poster so I wasn’t really planning on buy anything. Until I saw this.

Okay, if you’ve never played RebirthRO, you probably won’t have any idea what I’m talking about. But oh my gosh.. the moment I saw that poster.. I died.. And went to fangirl mode.. xD That picture was used in the MMORPG Rebirth Ragnarok in the menu, when you first open the game. I recognized it almost immediately and ahh.. I just had to have it xD When I used to play RO that picture always caught my eye. I thought it was beautiful and I wanted to find the actual picture, but that never really happened. xD

So ahh.. I bought it :] I asked her to sign it too! I feel really stupid asking her to sign it in the back though. No one’s gonna see it! >< Ahh well. I got the poster and met the girl who made it so that was good enough.

I went to go buy the Lightning poster, and it was 20$ but I was short and only had 14$ D: The artist alley was closing soon and the girl was so kind and let me buy the poster size for 14$ :D She doesn’t have a deviantArt though, because she said she doesn’t post her pictures online. So I’m rather reluctant to take a picture and show it.. ><

I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE THE PICTURES!!

But yeah! That’s all about my adventures! Or most of it at least ^^ Oh.. one last thing..

    FRUNDURDAY!

I modeled in the Tokyo Fashion Festa last night at FIT! I had a great time and met a lot of awesome people. For the show, I did a revamped version of Hatsune Miku from Vocaloid, in the outfit she wears in the song “Magnet,” since the first time I cosplayed it, it was more of a closet cosplay and I didn’t have the correct wig.

This time, the dress as completely re-done, new/borrowed wig, and different accessories! The shoes and headphones/hat were the same. The wig I borrowed from the oh so talented cosplayer, Kitsy Dolly (her deviantart). I really wish the event was longer! It felt soo short, but it was so exhilarating! I managed to cram Miku in.. 3 days.. hahaa.. I will never do that ever again! You’d think I learned from AnimeNEXT last year.. but nooo.. Had to do it again.. But she came out great!

Anyways! I want to thank my friends who came out to see me! You know who you are! The experience was just amazing. This was the first time I modeled in a fashion show and the first time for any sort of professional modeling that wasn’t TF/TFCD.

I loved it! Met lots of new people and the models were all so talented! Just seeing all the other fashions in the show made me love it even more! I really want to get into Japanese fashion/name brand now.. Well, at least learn about them! Since they are oh so expensive haha. The make up artists were all flown in from Japan, and they did an outstanding job. I just.. can’t even.. xD Plus they had really cool clothing haha. One of the make up artists was the lovely Akiko Yoshizawa. She does really beautiful work. (And one day.. I will learn enough Japanese to be able to read her blog.. xD)

After the show we had a tea party/ reception. Had so many pictures taken! It was cute when people told me they loved my character. One mother came up to me with her two sons and told me that her son loves my character haha.

IT ALSO MADE ME WISH I CONTINUED LEARNING JAPANESE! Because the person hosting the event is Japanese, along with all the makeup artists. But I still managed to understand some of it xD It was cute when Akiko was asking me a question about how I did my eyebrows (I colored them blue for Miku) in Japanese, and she realized that she was speaking to me in Japanese xD

I met Tokyo Circus Ringmaster Yoshi. Well, got a picture with him haha. I initially didn’t know who he was until I googled his sign. What else.. Oh! All the models received a bottle of FiberWig mascara! Well.. we got some other things as well, but it doesn’t top the Fiberwig xD So be on the lookout for a review!
